Our history...
1980s: The history of Mega System S.r.l. is tied to the success of its founder, Giovanni Colnago, who in the 1980s collaborated with various local companies, providing them with design and production services of electronic boards, also in the environmental sector.
Mr. Colnago was the first in Italy to introduce electronic boards into personal samplers, which until then had only been mechanical.
1994: In 1994, Giovanni Colnago founded Mega System S.r.l., initially as a company specialized in the design and production of electronic boards for the industry, and then focusing on the environmental sector.
2005: Giovanni Colnago decided to make his way into the world of industrial hygiene with a line of products and systems for air pollution control branded Mega System: Life Series and Life One.
2006: From 2006, Mega System established itself in the Emissions market with instruments such as Isocheck SRB and Lifetek Series.
2007: In 2007, Mega System achieved Quality System Certification in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard, proving its constant commitment to ensuring a high level of product quality, with particular attention to customer satisfaction.
2008: In 2008, Mega System obtained ATEX Certification for its Life XP and Life LT personal sampler line, ensuring their use in explosive environments, synonymous of safety and compliance with current European regulations.
2014: Since 2014, Mega System has introduced instruments dedicated to Environmental Sampling into its product line, such as the high-volume station Hornet and the sequential sampler Lifetek PMS.
2016: In 2016, the Lifetek PMS sequential sampler obtained TÜV Certification, a globally recognized symbol of excellence, demonstrating the increasing commitment to ensuring compliance with current standards and product quality.
2017: In 2017, the LAT 262T Calibration center was established, a calibration laboratory accredited by Accredia, the sole national accreditation body appointed by the Italian government in compliance with the application of the European Regulation 765/2008. Over the years, it will obtain certifications for performing calibrations for VOLUME, FLOW RATE, GAS PRESSURE and TEMPERATURE.
2019: In 2019, Mega System introduced Thyris, a portable analyzer capable of detecting and measuring:
- O₂ using the paramagnetism reference method
- CO₂ using an NDIR sensor
- NO and NOx using the chemiluminescence reference method
- CO using the NDIR reference method
In the same year, it introduced Flos, a next-generation personal sampler.
2020: In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Mega System introduced the B.F.E. Test Line into its catalog, a solution developed ad hoc to analyze the filtration efficiency of surgical masks.
2023: In 2023, Mega System expanded its catalog with instruments for sampling odorous emissions, such as Life Spiro and Static Hood.
2024: In 2024 Mega System S.r.l. celebrates its 30th anniversary!

In 2007 Mega System obtained the Quality System certification in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 standard which was renewed in 2018 in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
The achievement of this certification represents a further confirmation of Mega System’s desire to make quality one of the elements that characterize our production offer.
This project was undertaken with enthusiasm by Mega System with the conviction that the achievement of certification is not a point of arrival, but is the guarantee of a constant commitment aimed at guaranteeing a high level of quality of the products and services offered and the pursuit customer satisfaction.
